چکیده

The reaction νd → µ − ∆ ++ n is studied in the region of low q 2 to investigate the effect of deuteron structure and width of the ∆ resonance on the differential cross section. The results are used to extract the axial vector N − ∆ coupling C A 5 from the experimental data on this reaction. The possibility to determine this coupling from electroweak interaction experiments with high intensity electron accelerators is discussed.

The reactions e − p → ∆ 0 ν e and e + p → ∆ ++ ¯ ν e are considered as a possible source of information about the weak N∆ transition form factors. The low q 2 BNL data on ν µ production of ∆ are used to extract the axial vector N∆ coupling, taking into account the deuteron structure and the ∆ width. Finally, pion production induced by neutrinos in 16 O in the ∆ region, relevant to atmospheric ν...

Chiral symmetry restoration in a dense medium is to some extent a consequence of the nuclear pion cloud. These pions induce a mixing of the axial and vector current contributions in the axial and vector cor-relators. We discuss their influence on hadron masses and investigate the signal produced by the remaining contribution associated with chi-ral symmetry restoration. Using the quark-meson co...

v 1 1 A pr 1 99 8 Corrections to Finite - Size Scaling in the Lattice N - Vector Model for N = ∞

We compute the corrections to finite-size scaling for the N -vector model on the square lattice in the large-N limit. We find that corrections behave as logL/L2. For tree-level improved hamiltonians corrections behave as 1/L2. In general l-loop improvement is expected to reduce this behaviour to 1/(L2 log L). We show that the finite-size-scaling and the perturbative limit do not commute in the ...
